This week and next we devote to exploring the Observances that GandhiJi vowed to follow and invited the Ashram devotees to follow also.

                   AHIMSA
                   BRAHMACHARYA or Chastity
                   CONTROL OF THE PALATE
                   NON-STEALING
                   SWADESHI
                   FEARLESSNESS
                   BREAD LABOR
                   NON-POSSESSION
                   EQUALITY OF RELIGIONS
                   HUMILITY

The thought you bring to the meeting will improve what you will get from it.  Focus on one or two vows or prepare by reading Gandhi's writings on them all.

We will explore what was behind GandhiJi's valuing of each vow -- its SUBJECTIVE as well as OBJECTIVE importance -- and see how these foundations of thinking might guide us in our own lives and times.
