ETERNAL TRUTHS OF
ABSOLUTE MONISM

Eternal truths, which embody the basic philosophy of all religions and which have been taught by the great masters of all ages, constitute the fundamental principles of the Self-Revelation Church of Absolute Monism. The following eternal truths have been selected from the scriptures of the great religions of the world and are meditated upon as a part of the regular Sunday worship:

"Truth is one; men call it by various names."                                  Rig Veda

"God, Brahman, is Consciousness-Existence-Bliss Absolute."
                                                                                           Taittiriya Upanishad

"Everything is the manifestation of God, the divine Reality."
                                                                                       Chandogya Upanishad

"The soul of man is of identical nature with the God of the universe."
                                                                                         Mandukya Upanishad

"Make thine own self pure by good thoughts, good words, good deeds."
                                                                                                                     Avesta

"Realize thyself."                                                         Mandukya Upanishad

"By the realization of one's own self, the Absolute Self is realized."
                                                                                         Mandukya Upanishad

"God is the light of the heavens and the earth."                         The Qur'an

"He who realizes God becomes one with God."      Mandukya Upanishad

"I am that I Am."                                                              Bible, Old Testament

"I and my Father are one."                                           Bible, New Testament

"I am Brahman, the Absolute Self."               Brihadaranyaka Upanishad

THE CONTINUING SEARCH
FOR ETERNAL TRUTHS

Concepts of Absolute Monism which have developed through the centuries are presented here for the guidance and enlightenment of all who search for eternal truths.

"There is but one Reality that permeates thee and me and all beings. Rise above the consciousness of separation and realize thyself in all and all in thee."
                                                                                 Swami Shankaracharya

"Eternal, indestructible and infinite is the indwelling Self (soul). Never the Self was born nor will it ever die. Nor having existence, will it ever cease to exist. Weapons cleave not the Self (soul), nor doth fire burn it, waters wet it not, nor do winds dry it."
                                                                                   Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita

"No relative, nay not even his parents can benefit one as much as his own pure heart which follows the path of wisdom....Wisdom is the path to immortality (Nirvana)."
                                                                                                               Buddha

"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven."
                                                                       Jesus of Christ Consciousness

"He who knows others is clever, but he who knows himself is enlightened."
                                                                                                             Lao-Tzu

"For nowhere can a man find a retreat more full of peace or more free from care than his own soul."
                                                                                               Marcus Aurelius

"In eternity there is indeed something true and sublime. But all these times and places and occasions are now and here. God himself culminates in the present moment and will never be more divine in the lapse of all the ages."
                                                                                     Henry David Thoreau

"Ineffable is the union of man and God in every act of the soul. The simplest person who in his integrity worships God, becomes God."

                                                                                     Ralph Waldo Emerson

"There is only one inevitable duty...the daily recognition of the Unseen and Eternal....Each soul must meet the morning sun, the new sweet earth and the Great Silence alone!"
                                                                                                             Ohiyesa

"I believe in advaita, in the essential oneness of all that lives.

"Man's ultimate aim is the realization of God, and all his activities, social, political, religious, have to be guided by the ultimate aim of the vision of God. The immediate service of all human beings becomes a necessary part of the endeavor simply because the only way to find God is to see Him in His creation and be one with it."

                                                                                             Mahatma Gandhi

"The most important function of art and science is to awaken the cosmic religious feeling and keep it alive."
                                                                                                 Albert Einstein

"Spiritual life is the emancipation of consciousness. Through it we find immediate response of soul everywhere. Before we attain this life, we see men through the medium of self-interest, prejudice or classification, because of the perpetual remoteness around us which we cannot cross over. When the veil is removed, we not only see the fleeting forms of the world, but come close to its eternal being, which is ineffable beauty."
                                                                                     Rabindranath Tagore

OUR SPIRITUAL HERITAGE

The philosophy of Absolute Monism has been impersonally propounded by the mystics of all religions from time immemorial. The mystic ritual of subjective meditation, Kriya, as the inner path to God, has also been known and sacredly given by the great gurus (masters of God-realization) of all spiritual traditions. Nevertheless, to us the ancient and universal philosophy and practice of Kriya has come through a specific line of gurus: Aum Babaji, Shyamacharan Lahiri, Swami Sri Yukteswar and Swami Yogananda Paramhansa.

The flame of truth is eternally ignited in the soul of every man. God, as one's own Soul, is the guru.
